Obstacle Course for BERA Summer Camp

Cozy Crochet Lesson

December 18, 2024 The Maker Club hosts a snowflake crocheting lesson taught by club member Melinda Rucks. All materials were provided in addition to the complimentary hot chocolate and cookies!

Mini EIC Project

June 8, 2024 The Maker Club attends the Maker Faire Long Island at the Long Island Explorium in Port Jefferson.

2024 NYC Auto Show

March 30, 2024 The Maker Club joins BERA’s Do-As-You-Please monthly trip to attend the NYC Auto Show at Javits Center.

Pinata Stand for Hispanic Heritage Month

HHG will be hosting their annual flag raising event outside to kickoff Hispanic Heritage Month.

September 15, 2024 To celebrate the start of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Maker Club designed and built a colorful pinata stand for the Hispanic Heritage Club (filled with candy, of course).

Valentine’s Day Candle Making Class

February 7, 2024 In preparation for Valentine’s Day, the Maker Club hosts a candle making class. Attendees are encouraged to customize their candles’ color, scents, and to bring their own containers!

Simpsons Gingerbread House

December 2023 The Maker Club participates in the BNL Gingerbread competition for United Way with a sweet replica of the Simpson’s house! Complete with a 3D printed Homer, blinking xmas lights, and a moving (slightly haha) car.

Solar Powered Candle Class

2023 In this two-part series, Jonathan Greene gave an informative lesson solar power followed by a build session where participants were able to build their own solar powered candle from kits created by the Maker Club.
